Brooke Bradley is in a non-moving forward relationship. Her boyfriend Jared lives with her but doesn't seem to have any desire to propose. Brooke's best friend Nicole surprises her with a vacation on a cruise ship.
Easton Crawford used to be a model but after his wife died, he moved to New York and opened a bar with his best friend Avery. Avery decides he needs to find "The One" and taking his best buddy as his wingman on a singles only cruise sounds like a great way to start.
When Avery meets Nicole, they soon forget about Brooke and Easton. Leaving them alone, and giving them time to get to know each other, discovering they have things in common. Easton realizes he has never felt a truer connection as the one he feels with Brooke.
Brooke knows her relationship with her boyfriend is not going anywhere and after meeting Easton, she realizes she is ready to move on.
The blurb intrigued me.
The story is told by both of the main characters. At the beginning, I wasn't crazy about Easton. He slept with anything with a skirt but when he met Brooke and they were forced to be friends first, he changes, matures too. He became much more likable as the weeks progressed and by the end he had morphed into quite a great guy.
Brooke was a tough cookie. When she was younger, she was responsible for bringing up her baby sister. Now, as an adult she has to make even harder choices which she faces straight on.
