Five years ago, my dreams were shattered in an instant.
One year ago, a horrible rainstorm flooded a bridge in town, leaving us with an Inn full of stranded travelers. Turns out one of those travelers would give me a whole new set of dreams, ones I never thought possible. Brody Murphy spent the last year teaching me what it was like to live, and more importantly love, again.
Two days ago, he asked me to marry him, and if I’d said yes any faster, I would have interrupted the most romantic proposal ever offered. I can’t wait to marry him and spend the rest of our lives spoiling our Twinkies.
One year from now I’ll be Mrs. Kacie Murphy, assuming everything goes nice and smooth.
Contemporary romance author, Diet Coke addict extraordinaire. Beth Ehemann lives in the northern suburbs of Chicago with her husband and four kids. She's a comma whore, Diet Coke addict, constant daydreamer and lover of all things baseball. (GO CUBS!)
Let's just start by saying that I love the Cranberry Inn series.
The novella starts right after Kacie has said yes to the best proposal ever!
Decisions have to be made. Our couple knows they want something intimate with their friends and family.
Brody being Brody made me swoon more than once. He was so amazing to the Twinkies and to Kacie. His love for them is shown in every action and decision.
The wedding was great and what follows made me very happy.
The secondary characters are perfect as well. Kacie's mom supports her in all her decisions. Fred teaches us that family is really who's there for us when we need them. Zack is playing the responsible dad ( I can't believe Beth made me like him) and Viper can be a great baby sitter (That scene had me laughing).
I wonder if Andy has a tennis player (Callie Marsh) in his future. This man needs a HEA too Beth!.
You must read this book. It's a little gem. The whole series has become one of my all time favorites.
I can't wait for Viper's book.
“Lady and the Tramp? I’m clearly watching too much Disney. ”
“Do you have any idea how it feels to go to my monthly book club and have the ladies there tell me they read online that my only son is engaged? Let me tell you something, Mister, it feels really shitty!”
“Six hundred fifty-two. ”
“Well, he lost a bet. A big one. And Viper made him pay up.”
“I, Brody, promise to love you, Lucy and Piper, just as much as I love your mommy. I promise to love you and protect you and always take care of you, no matter what. From this day forward, you will always and forever be my Twinkies. I also promise to always kill all the spiders.”
