This is the conclusion of Tess and Q's story. I had mixed feelings about this book. There were parts I really liked and others
that I honestly could have done without.
The passionate,
obsessive, need that drives Tess and Q's relationship is what made this series
so great. Q isn't perfect by any means. He's demanding, controlling, and at times overbearing,
but he's also loving, protective and unwavering in his love for Tess. Slave number fifty-eight and her master are
the perfect fit.
"I no longer fear myself because you control my beast. I'm your monster, Tess. I'll kill those who hurt you. I'll nurture those who tend you. I'll never stop hunting your nightmares or providing a perfect life."
I was pretty disappointed with where this book picked up. I adored the ending of QQ, so to me it felt like a huge step back for Tess and Q's relationship. The first 45% of the book was Q, once again,
trying to get Tess out of the tower she built-up in her mind to cope. He's relentless in getting the woman he fell
in love with back. This part really dragged
for me, was too reminiscent of the heavy parts of QQ (that were supposedly already
dealt with), and was SO unnecessary. The
story would have been so much more if the first half was left out. The second half was better and gave them the HEA they were meant to have.

I shook my head. I didn’t understand. All I understood was his voice had the power to make me come. The deep tenor vibrated through my heart, sending tiny orgasms exploding in my veins.
