Black Arts (Jane Yellowrock #7) by Faith Hunter

Jane Yellowrock's life is interrupted by Evan Trueblood and his kids. His wife Molly has gone missing. Evan asks Jane for help finding her. It seems like Molly had all the intention of seeking Jane in New Orleans but someone snatched her before she could get to her destination.
Molly is not the only witch who's missing and Jane is hired by Katie to find them.  Jane will also have to deal with vampire politics, magic, Beast's binding, and her love life.

Rick La Fleur and Bruiser both make an appearance. I personally like Bruiser more.  I think it's time than Jane and Bruiser explore their relationship.

I'm happy to report that while I was at RT I met Faith and she told me the next book will make me very happy.  I hope she means I finally see Jane and Bruiser together. After the shower scene a few books ago, I can't wait any longer.

I can't finish my review without saying how much I love Beast.  She is funny, a fighter, protective, loyal and still wants a mate for Jane.  Pick Bruiser!!!

My favorite Quotes:

“Jane Yellowrock is on the premises. She is armed and dangerous.”

“Not human,” I said. “Deal with it.”

“You keep secrets like a madam,” I said conversationally. “All tease and no share.”

“Oh yes. As just reward for that.” He cocked his head toward the sparring room. “It was a thing of beauty to behold.”

“I’m not your kitten.”
“Perhaps. But you hold my soul in your claws, mon coeur.”
