Reaper's Legacy (Reapers MC #2) by Joanna Wylde

Reaper's Legacy
Sophie fell in love with the wrong brother.

As a teenager Sophie gave her heart to Zack Barrett but he didn't deserve it.
Her first time together left a lasting impression, mainly her son Noah.
Zack is not a good father. His half brother Jesse "Ruger" Gray is there for Sophie when she needs help with anything.  If only he wasn't part of the Reapers MC. Sophie doesn't trust the MC life and she tries to stay away from it.

“True story,” Horse chimed in. “Fuck with us, we’ll fuck you back. Harder. Always.”

Years later when Noah is in trouble, Ruger shows up to help them. This knight in shining armor has a bike instead of a horse.
When Ruger realizes that his nephew and Sophie are living in an unsafe area and almost in poverty, he steps up and decides to take them back with him to his home. This could be a huge mistake.  The attraction between Sophie and Ruger is about to implode.

“Serious mistake, babe.”
“You just admitted you’re mine,” he replied slowly. “I’ve been wonderin’ if I could take you—whether I should take you. I keep thinkin’ about Noah and whether it’s right for him, but now I get none of it matters, because you’re mine already. You’ve been mine for a hell of a long time and I just didn’t realize it.”

Can Sophie stay away from Ruger's bed?

She may like the man but not the MC package.
Can she risk getting deeper into their way of living?

I consumed this book in an afternoon.  Legacy flowed without a hitch. I like Ruger and I thought he was a very good uncle and he wanted Noah's safety above all.  From the moment that Ruger meets baby Noah his fate is sealed.
Ruger knows he wants Sophie in his life and he wants to be more than just the brother who hurt her. He just doesn't know if he can be faithful.
For Sophie, monogamy is a must.

“That’s reality. You want the freedom to sleep around. I’m not willing to give you that—I want more. Sounds like we have a fundamental difference of opinion here, and I’m not going to try and change you. But I’ll tell you one thing, Ruger—I deserve to be with someone who gives a shit about me, as a person. Someone who values me enough not to fuck other women. I’d rather be alone the rest of my life than settle for what you’re offering. Consider yourself a hell of a booty call, but that’s it. We clear?”

She is also worried about immersing herself and Noah into a bikers life. She knows their lifestyle can be dangerous and wants to protect her son from getting hurt. The dichotomy is that no one will keep Noah safer than his uncle Ruger.
We meet a few new characters and I think I liked Em with Hunter since Painter never woke up but will see. I can be persuaded.

“When a man takes a woman as his property, it’s not about owning her,” he continued, eyes searching my face. “It’s about trusting her. This is my life I’m handing you, Sophie. Not just my life—my brothers’ lives, too. It means I’m responsible for everything you do. You fuck up, I’ll pay. You need help, we’re there. You’re the only woman I’ve ever met that I’d consider giving that kind of power to. Hell, I’m not just considering it, I’m desperate for you to take it."

Thanks Joanna for the chance to read your book.  Another success!
