Beat of the Heart by Katie Ashley
Runaway Train #2

Mia Martinelli is mending a broken heart. Six months ago her fiancee cheated with one of her friends. Luckily, she still has her job to keep her busy and her best friend Dee. Mia is a charge nurse in the cardiac unit at St. Joseph's hospital. What she doesn't know is that a Rock star is about to change her future.

When Frank, part of the security team for the Runaway Train, has a bypass surgery, AJ and Rhys go to visit him.

Alejandro Joaquin Resendiz, aka AJ, can't believe how incredibly hot Frank's nurse is and soon after a hilarious spilled drink episode, he is pursuing a date with her.

“CariƱo, as much as it kills me to ask you to stop this rubdown, if you don’t, you’re going to make another mess to clean up. Inside my pants.”
Mia tries to resist but in the end, she accepts and the rest is history.

Well not really. There are misunderstandings, ex-flames, insecurities, and heartbreaks galore.

I love AJ, even from the first book Music of the Heart. I was happy to see that he can be a one-woman man. He was sweet, attentive, romantic. Don't get me wrong, he was still funny as heck. The sex scenes were super steamy and AJ was sex on a stick full time. This book is HOT!

“Now, that gentlemen, is the future Mrs. Resendiz, right there.”
